Here’s what you can expect when your child takes time to warm up.
Before Your Session
Once your session is booked, we’ll send a short prep guide with outfit ideas, what to bring, and simple reminders to help your day flow smoothly.
If your child is slow to warm up, here’s what helps most:
Choose comfortable, familiar outfits that feel good to move in.
Arrive 10–15 minutes early to explore and adjust before photos begin.
Bring a small comfort item or snack to help them feel at ease.
We’ll also talk about your child’s personality ahead of time, so we can plan a flow that fits them best. Whether quiet and curious or thoughtful and shy, every child shines once they feel safe and understood.
When You Arrive
Our Winter Garden studio is cozy, calm, and designed to help children feel at home. Soft music, natural light, and open space allow them to explore freely and settle in at their own pace.
We start with a gentle warm-up time: no posing, no pressure. We chat, laugh, and take a few test shots so your child can get used to the camera and the lights. Once they’re ready, we move into portraits with a playful, natural rhythm.
Parents are always welcome to join in! Whether it’s helping spark a giggle or offering a comforting hug, your presence helps create the connection we love to capture.

During the Session
Expect a relaxed pace with plenty of small breaks and encouragement. If your child needs a pause, a cuddle, or just a deep breath, we always make time for that.

After the Session
Within a week, you’ll receive your proofing gallery to choose your favorite images. Each photo is hand-edited with care, enhancing light, tone, and color while maintaining a natural and true-to-life look.
